CF Garden, 4 feet of thick clay

 February 5 2025 Planning;
Due to the drought of last year I need to re establish the grass/ground cover.
The creale rye I planted last fall did not germinate. I did manage to get chewings
fescue to establish in 2 of the walkways I had sterlized. The begative is creeping
charlie is also well established. Until soil tempatures reach 50 degrees (usually in April)
I can not plant any grass. I will start off by frost seeding red (10%) and white clover (90%)
between the garden rows excluding where teh creeping charlie is rampant.
Those areas will be sprayed with 2-4-D to burn down the creeping charlie so
the grass can smother it out.
Onions will be started indoors by late february.
I normally do not plant warm weather crops until May so I will stat those indoors
      middle of March.
I am planning on ordering 2 plums, 2 centennial crab apples 2 service berry and possibly
2 Persimmons trees. All dwarf species this fall. I'll spend this year getting those
spots ready for trees by growing annual rye grass, clovers, buckwheat with a fall cowpeas
      and oats soil building plants.

      January 2025
The lot measures 113 x 50 feet. Has a blacktop drive that is way past its life.

I used 4x6 presure treated wood for the corner H bracing they are 42 inches deep.
On the north and south ends, the 3 other fence posts are also 4x6 fence posts.
The east and west sides I used 8 foot T posts between the corners.
I used 3 strands of high tension wire. The bottom strand was 9 gauge, the middle and top wires
were 12 gauge. All of them have 100lbs of pull on them using springs.
We attached 4x2 inch 16 guage vinyl coated "critter fence" to the posts and zip tied to the wire.
It was the most econominal 6 foot fence I could build.
The back fence was 4' off the rear of the property line.
The fenced in area measures 84 feet long 48 feet wide. There are 2 gates on the west side.

                                    Inside the fence layout.
I have a 8 feet of grass around the garden perimiter on the east north and west sides.
The south end has 12 feet wide path. This area is where the compost is made and storage.
No buildings No Water No Power at this time.
Gardens are numbered 1-5 in a south to north pattern. Gardens are 4 feet wide 30 feet long.
At the north end is a 16x30 foot area I plan on using for Plums, strawberries, and blueberries.

Only thing I have growing right now is Garlic. The berry lot has Cereal Rye on it.
      I am working on pictures.
